I have now made my characters for the animation and I've also done the storyboard. I have made many expressions for each of the characters so that I can ply around with them. The first character I started to work on was the woman and I decided in the story board that I want her to flicker her eye lashes in a flirty way toward the ma, heres a quick example of her in working progress;

At first I thought I would be fine to use my digital camera but I found that it wasnt good enough quality for what I wanted. So I decided to go to the photography to department at the uni and rent a nikon D60 camera and I also needed a tripod to keep the camera in the same position. In earlier projects we were tought how to use this camera not using manual so I found this very helpful when using it for this project. So I set up my own little studio at home with the right lighting and I used my story board to guide me throught the expressions and movements. Heres a few pictures from the animation;

Heres a picture of all of the expressions and other features I used for the animation;

At the beginning of the project I thought about having a backgroud for the animation and I thought about a tradional mexican town or a desert. But after thinking through it I decided that it might make the characters not stand out so much and I felt that I made the animation complicated as it was with the detailed characters so in the end I decided to just have a plain background that I could write on so it was clear to see.
